A unique fusion of biomedical engineering and microsurgical expertise. Dr. Jowett dedicates his practice exclusively to facial reanimation and nerve reconstruction.
Training & Affiliations

Performing complex nerve reconstruction at Mass Eye and Ear, Boston.
Dr. Jowett's path to surgery was unconventional. Starting with an Honors BSc in Physics and a PhD in Biomedical Engineering, he approached medicine not just as a clinician, but as a scientist seeking to solve fundamental problems in nerve repair.
After completing his medical degree at the University of Toronto and residency at McGill University, he pursued dual fellowship training in Head & Neck Oncology in Germany and Facial Plastic Surgery at Harvard Medical School.
For nearly a decade, he served as Assistant Professor at Harvard Medical School and Director of the Surgical Photonics & Engineering Laboratory. There, he didn't just practice surgery—he pioneered it. His lab secured over $5 Million in funding to develop laser-based nerve repair technologies.
Facial paralysis is a complex electrical and mechanical failure. Dr. Jowett's engineering background allows him to see the face as a dynamic system, enabling him to design reanimation procedures that restore not just static symmetry, but genuine, emotional expression.
Invited to lecture and operate around the world, sharing advanced techniques in facial reanimation.
